Tonight, Saturday the 9th of August, Rincón de la Victoria will hold the XXIII Festival Flamenco Puerta de la Axarquía bringing together local artists in a setting of song, music and dance, as informs the councillor of culture, Antonio José Martín. He, together with the acting mayor,Antonio Manuel Rando, the president of ‘La Peña’José Reina, and members of the collective, presented this years’ poster, designed by Juan José Álvarez.
CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio’s sports centre will again be the stage for this event “in an open space with a capacity that offers more than 300 seats for a consolidated date and is a place of reference for the provinces flamenco scene” emphasised Martín.
Antonio Manuel Rando mentioned “the quality of the local artists with a national impact that are participating in the festival. They have a wide recording business and recognition outside the country”. “It’s about offering a show complete with singing, music and dance for the general public in an open space that unites the festival’s programme every year, demanded by visitors and tourists” he adds.
The artists will interpret diverse styles of flamenco, with clear inspiration from the master,Camarón de la Isla, accompanied by ‘los bulerías’, an Andalucian song with clapping and dancing, says José Reina.
Tickets can be bought today and are 8 euros for associates and 10 euros for visitors. The show will begin at 22:30 with the following programme:

Guitar: Luís Santiago, Francisco Vinuesa, and Fran Guerrero
Dancing: Sandra Cisneros
