The new radar installed to control speed by the General traffic management(DGT) on the A7 (AutoVIN del Mediterraneo) km 256, between Rincon de La Victoria and the Torre de BENAGALBON, towards Cadiz has began to function after the test period in the month of October.
This Speed trap is near the Shell Petrol station and the permitted speed is 80km/hour as is shown on the nearest signal posts. Fines for going over the limit are between 100 and 600 Euros and in some cases can mean 2, 4 or 6 points taken from your driving license.
TWO NEW RADARS IN THE A45
Moreover in the next few weeks two new points will be built in to the A45- and one has been moved to the false tunnel of Carlos de Haya, direction Torremolinos. Thus there are now 23 DGT radars in Malaga.
These new radars hope to control the speeding in the Pedrizas Motorway, especially in two conflictive danger spots, which are the tunnels ; a little after Casabermeja and near La Venta Cotrina.
Both these radars will be mobile radars and will cover almost nine kms in total in the direction towards Malaga. The first of these will be between kms 126, 128,780, while the second will be between 134,252 and 140,276.
