The central government delegation in Malaga has signed the draft for the Torre de Benagalbon waterfront promenade to be developed by the company Studio 7 Andalusia, as reported by the Mayor of Rincón de la Victoria , Francisco Salado.
The concessionaire will now have a term of 11 months to develop the project , which has been budgeted at 59,035 euros as published last May 28 th in the BOE. The alderman noted that the City will work with the concessionaire to shorten project delivery times , so that it can be delivered before the end of summer 2014 .
Salado explained that the estimated amount for the future promenade is 3.5 million euros. ” This is a very important infrastructure for our town, a historical demand that will affect the quality of life of citizens and , above all, improve tourism services. It will be a significant investment since, in addition to providing growth from the point of view of tourism , it will also do so from the economic point of view ” .
As far as the Councillor for the Environment is concerned, Sergio Diaz , has indicated that the project , which seeks recovery of terrestrial maritime public domain , it will include pedestrian and bike paths along the seafront of the beaches of Torre de Benagalbón and Los Rubios and a bridge across the Benagalbón creek, suitable for pedestrian and bikes.
Also, the facilities will be realocated to allow more spaces so as to create new employment , the access to the coast and the sea will be improved and measures will be proposed aimed at protected urban fringes in these areas.
