Sultanas in Rincón

anremlogoJosé Manuel Moreno Ferreiro yesterday gave a talk entitled ‘Bezmilana, gate to the raisin route’. It was designed to promote new business opportunities in Rincón de la Victoria centred on the raisins as a product of our cultural heritage.

Moreno Ferreiro wants to define Rincón as ‘the gateway to the raisin route’ that begins in Moclinejo. The path is not just a connection between two points but set of elements to promote the variety endemic to this area, the Moscatel.

He wants to make Rincón the centre and establish better business relations with the neighbouring villages. He hopes by focusing on Rincón he can attract tourists interested in the cultural heritage of the area, and offer more than just the traditional sun and beach experience.
The raisin is of great interest in the area of Axarquia as it is a staple product grown in the area, with many vineyards specializing in the muscatel grape.
