La Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana in Rincón de la Victoria welcomes a new photography exhibition entitled ‘El Alma Desgranada’ (The scattered soul).
It is designed to run through eight centuries of history in the Kingdom of Granada, from 1013 to 1833. The authors, Juan Carlos González-Santiago and José Manuel Vera Borja have photographed the architectural heritage of the area from a personal perspective.
The exhibition is a mixture of reality and imagination; reality being represented by the physical heritage existing in the area and the imagination as far as seeing beyond into what the photographs represent.
According to the Mayor, it is a project to encourage the spectator to immerse himself in the past, and reflect on the identity of the Kingdom of Granada, which celebrates its millennium this year.
There are a total of 14 photographs 100 x 70cm, 12 photographs 180 x 120cm, introductory graphic, an audiovisual representation with over 210 photographs of the project, a plasma screen and DVD player as support.
It is available for viewing to the public until 22 March and the opening Hours are: Tuesday to Saturday 11.00 to13.30 and from 17.30 to 21.00. Sunday from 11.00 to14.00.
Entrance is FREE.
