This news article has been tLa Case Fuerte Bezmiliana of Rincon de la Victoria opens a new exhibition entitled ‘ of the Mari Garcia’s Fragmentario´. It is a sample of collages based on work that combines a mixture of fragments cut from magazines and old cards with drawings in pencil and colored.
It uses pages of pattern design albums or music scores generate different scenes in motion frame mode. The rhythmic succession of topics, chromaticism, associative environments, and alternating right and the undulating define Mari García mounting technique, explained the Councillor of culture, Antonio José Martín.
The exhibition combines different materials such as drawing, watercolor, pencil and clippings of old books in their work, this is last due to his fondness for the colors used by printers in the forties and fifties of the last century.
About the author
Mari García lives and works in Malaga, although his studies of law and Criminology held them in Granada. Literature and art have been constant in his life, and for a few years he began to experiment with photography, to work with cards and old papers.
The opening hours are: Tuesday to Saturday from 11.00 to 13.30 h and from 17: 30 to 21: 00 hours. Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00 hours until 3 May. The entrance is free.
