This year ‘RinconRock’ productions are introducing a programme of youth entertainment, with concerts, exhibitions, lectures, international meetings all with a variety of musical styles.
The first concert was on 12th January.
Following concerts are on 19th January called JAM2013, a musical concert with local rappers. Then on 9th February there will be a day of alternative art; focusing on the newer culture of trend hipster with musical performances from indipop, sales of vinyl LPs an alternative workshops.
March 2nd the Plaza de la Constitucion will host an event called Erasmus Day that aims to gather young people from different European cultures located in Málaga.
In April, on 5th, 6th and 7th there will be three days of exhibitions, lectures concerts and markets selling items associated with Black culture. Hence the title Black Weekend. In addition there will be performances by jazz and blues groups.
Rinconrock emerged two years ago when a group of friends got together to begin to organize events on local bars and small premises. There are currently eight partners and they have carried out 55 different programmes, each time the audiences get bigger. They are currently trying to arrange an agreement to bring to Málaga groups from other countries such as France, England and Norway.
