Classes for Seniors

mayoresgimRincón de la Victoria is developing a program of workshops for the elderly designed to boost learning and memory. It will involve about 400 seniors from the municipality.

The workshops take place in the 4 Hogares de Jubilado in the area, where they will be given training on memory and logic as well as having fun. There are Tai Chi classes in Cala Del Moral and Cotomar.
There will also be a range of craft skills on offer. For those wanting to learn Sevillana there will be classes starting next week at a cost of €10. On Sunday afternoons in the Rincón Sol there will be introduced flamenco classes for adults.
Anyone wishing to participate can enrol at the various Hogares de Jubilado or contact Social Welfare for more information.
It is also hoped that there will be conferences on health, culture and future security as well as ‘gastronomy trips’ scheduled for later in the year.
