Avocado: The King of the Table

aguacateFrom 5th to 17th June the El Reservado Restaurant is holding a celebration of the Avocado. The idea being to add value to this food, characteristic of Axarquia, along with the honey and the wine. The menu will include Flamenquin de Pollo with York ham and avocado cream, Avocado gazpacho, Avocado with prawns among others.

The event will be attended by the Deputy of Rural Development responsible for the promotion of the brand Malaga, Leonor García-Agua, The Mayor, Francisco Salado, the Mayor of Velez-Malaga, Francisco Delgado Bonilla, The manager of Trops, Enrique, Colilles and the owner of the La Reservado, Marcos Pareja.
Colilles pointed out the high numbers of exports of the avocado and other subtropical fruits from this region to the rest of Europe. He is also referred to the number of menus that now featured recipes that included the avocado throughout Europe.
