Rincón de la Victoria’s town council has bid for a municipal nursery school in La Cala del Moral after the idea was approved in June’s plenary session, where the awarded party took responsibility for equipping the facility.
On Monday the 25th August, the ‘BoletínOficial de la Provincia (BOP)’ published the announcement, which, from Tuesday the 26th August, will open a space for businesses to present their offers according to the new sheet of conditions that establishes the service for an annual feeof 11,040 euros, with a duration of 25 years.
The new facility will offer 82 places for children between the ages of 16 weeks and 3 years. The service will be continuously available Monday to Friday from 7.00 until 19.30, and for 11 months of the year. The nursery’s timetable will be from 9.00 until 17.00 and will also have dining facilities. The hours from 7.00 to 9.00 will be considered the ‘AulaMatinal’, the morning class, while from 17.00 to 19.30 the service will be offered by LudotecaInfantil. For these extra services, children up to the ages of 6 years will be permitted to join.
In order to better the agreement, the new sheet of administrative conditions states that all personnel have a B2 level of English. “We want it to be a service in which the children have the opportunity to learn English from an early age. It will be an added value that parents will value positively”, says Francisco Salado, who insisted that the service will be funded by paying users, considering that “the ‘Junta de Andalucía’ have made it clear that they will not finance the places, the reason for which it was necessary to withdraw the contract with the business ‘Clece’ as it was not possible to set up the service in time” explains the councillor.
The first municipal nursery school in La Cala del Moral is situated next to the multipurpose centre and only has one floor of 500 square metres that has meant an investment of 1.2 million euros financed by both the ‘Junta de Andalucía’ and the town council in Rincón de la Victoria. The building has many accessible entrances: by road from CalleArroyo Totalánand by foot from CalleJábegas al Norte in the urbanisation Don Miguel.
The councillor has said that “it’s a crucial step in order for the much demanded nursery to be available. It will be a centre of social-educative attention orientated around educative excellence and bilingualism that will take into account 6 educative units dedicated to the first years of infant education”.
